The cats were here long before we were, and the cats here now, are descendents of the first cats we saw. We take care of them, and they in turn, let us run a restaurant. From time to time people drop off other cats thinking it is a good place for them. It is not. Cats that do not grow up, here have no idea how to react to the highway, bicycle path, other people, and the other animals that live in the area. They are totally overwhelmed and usually get hit by a car within days. Do not try to touch the cats, as this will probably result in scratches and bites. They are not domestic cats. We have chupa chuptm lollipops inside, the money raised by selling them goes to the cats, for food and medical expenses. We also have racoons. They are mean, nasty, and drag garbage everywhere, Please do not feed them as they are quite capable of taking care of themselves in the wild, they can eat anything.
We had a peacock, for a couple of months. She found us and moved on in. Betty would fix her these elaborate plates of food that rivaled what we were giving the customers! Her owners found her, and finally caught her. Just in time, as she was getting pretty bossy! |
